Experienced MN Pharmacist Job Opportunity - Contact Larry.Thomas@soliant.com - Soliant Health is conducting a search for an experienced remote order entry, hospital, or retail Minnesota pharmacist to fill one of several postitions being staffed by Soliant. This is a great opportunity to make some extra cash during the holidays if you are currently looking for a full-time position or if you are a retired pharmacist with an open schedule. Our client is adding four pharmacist to their staff for a contract till 12/31/2012 and possibly longer.

The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday working 9 am - 5 pm.

The duties of the position are as follows (including but not limited to):
* Review and interpret prescription information as entered by the data entry pharmacy technicians to ensure all prescriptions are accurate and complete
* Reviews drug-drug and drug-allergy interactions and high dose prescriptions and resolves each situation
* Phone doctor office or patient concerning the drug interaction or allergy
* Request an affidavit from the physician under certain conditions (high or max. dose)
* May cancel orders, delete or change medications, or accept medications as written
* May cause a letter to be written to the patient explaining drug or allergy interaction
* Utilize clinical knowledge to review denied PA's (prior authorizations) to check that the denial was warranted, override PA's when appropriate, and review questionable PA's
* Route prescriptions, when necessary, to the appropriate personnel to see that changes/corrections are made

Soliant Health requires the following experience for this position:
* Minnesota license active and in good standing
* One year experience working in the retail, remote order entry, hospital pharmacy settings
* Solid work history and strong professional references
* Ability to commit to the length of the contract
* Dependable, punctual, and team player
