Impression: B+F Burger Boutique - Banana Kuwait Blog - BananaQ8

Remember B+F Burger Boutique? Yes the one at Arraya Center that was closed for renovation and redefining it?s concept for more than a year, it was re-opened today and I was asked to come over to try it out and give back my impression. Luckily it?s my cheat day (remember it?s Friday) and by the way I?m achieving a lot in the weight loss department. So I arrived there and had chance to chit chat with the owner Basil ?Al Salem who is also behind B+F Open Flame Kitchen and Slider Station.

My first question was ?What took you so long to come back and what?s different about the new Burger Boutique??, he explained how they faced many challenges during re-defining concept phase ?We wanted to go organic, natural, healthy, and above all, encourage recycling concept so this took us time and a lot of effort and here were are back again?, he added.

The restaurant was simply yet neatly decorated with green color representing nature. There were a few tables by the entrance and an outside sitting area.

I observed that everything was made of recycled material; the menu, the tissue, the spoons and forks, even the serving plates. I grabbed the medium-sized menu to see what they got and I saw burgers, sliders, salads, appetizers, hot dogs, sodas. I asked the waiter if they have healthy and lower calories burgers, he said they have what they call ?Zap it? on the menu where they use less oil for the burgers and fries; hence less calories.

Starters

Mushroom Poppers; Filled with tillamook, chedder, fire roasted ?jalapeno (tasty and crispy).

Jalapeno Bottle Caps; Jalapeno coated with crispy honey mustard (recommended).

Farmer?s Salad; Lettuce, cucumber, carrot, corn, chicken (tasted fine).

Burgers & Fries

Classic; Tillamook,?tomato, white?cheddar, lettuce, lettuce, onion, sweet relish, tangy mustard (dense but tasted fine).

Green Chilli; Pepper jack, shaved onion, jalapeno, chilli sauce (light and tasty).

Green chilli fries; Fries with chilli sauce (It was soaked, wish it was less oily).

Drinks & Sweets

Gus Dry Cola; It tasted somehow similar to coke, they say it?s 99.99% caffeine free with no preservatives and made from cola nut extracts.

Vanilla milkshake; tasty

For sweets they had what they called ?Skinny Cloud, they say it?s low-fat and low-calorie, I tasted it and liked the creamy and strawberry flavor.

I enjoyed my time at Burger Boutique especially that it?s located in Array Center which is a quiet mall, the prices were reasonable and the service level was great. That was one happy cheat day, you may try Burger Boutique and share your opinion with us.
